Let 's find out!

What's Your
Communication Style?

Everything begins in your mind. A thought becomes a word, a word becomes an action, an action becomes a habit, and a habit becomes a way of being.

Your entire world comes from how you communicate, with yourself and others. Own your unique and awesome way of thinking and expressing yourself.

“Free your mind and the rest will follow.”

A Shining Star

Grief hurts. Words can’t describe it. It can only be felt. Losing a spouse is one of life’s most painful experiences. It’s common to feel deep sadness, anger, fear and loneliness. What’s uncommon is to transform this breakdown into a breakthrough. Jean Blohm is uncommon, she is extraordinary.

What’s uncommon is to transform this breakdown into a breakthrough. Jean Blohm is uncommon, she is extraordinary.

After Jean’s husband, Pat, died, she began a journey of healing and self-discovery. Jean’s exploration of new healing methods included an Owning Your Purpose session.  Looking at her astrological chart, I shared that part of her soul’s purpose involved creativity and communication. We discussed her relationship to creative writing and I recommended a journaling practice. My suggestion became a reoccurring whisper in Jean’s ear. She began by asking Pat’s family and friends to write about her beloved husband. Jean wanted to collect these shares and create a photobook for their son, Patrick. Her mailbox and inbox were soon flooded by beautiful, heartwarming letters.

The first anniversary of Pat’s death came all too quickly. Jean decided to write back to everyone who generously wrote to her son. Jean reflected about the year since Pat’s death and words beginning with the letter “C” spilled onto the page. Each adjective was a key which opened a memory or feeling about Pat, their relationship, family, his illness and death, and the aftermath. I invite you to read this touching letter because its power lies in Jean’s vulnerability. Vulnerability creates connection, a sense of belonging and community; the perfect elixir for a broken heart. When you align with your soul’s purpose, magic and miracles happen.

The feedback from Jean’s letter was phenomenal. She received letters, phone calls, emails and texts. This was a needed reminder that she was not alone, Pat was loved and her pain could serve a greater purpose. Here’s the important part, Jean chose to create that purpose by risking and authentically sharing herself. Jean sent this letter to many people. In turn, unexpected surprises happened. A high school friend who lost his love reached out for support. They reconnected and chose to be old school pen-pals that exchange handwritten notes. Also, another friend whose husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease was moved by Jean’s offering. This letter has become a roadmap for her long goodbye. These are just a few of the examples shared. Our seemingly small contributions can have a profound impact. Jean began writing to show how much Pat mattered. Her act of love matters more than she imagined. It inspires everyone who reads it to know that they matter. In fact, her love letter to Pat, is a testimony that everyone and everything matters.

Bravo, Jean, you are
A Shining Star!

Hmm...

You're not really fitting into any of the categories, remember that you’re complicated. Many of us won’t fit into a neat box, because there are parts of ourselves that are wildly different. Have you ever noticed that your thoughts can go in a completely different direction than your feelings? It’s what makes you complex and unique. But wouldn’t it be nice to understand your edges? Wouldn’t you love to have greater self-awareness and inner harmony? I say, “Yes please!”
